The entire globe has been united in a really crazy way during the coronavirus outbreak. On top of all of us “normal people” being home all the time, celebrities are staying at home too. Many of them have taken to Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and other social media to remind folks to stay at home. There are also a number of celebrities donating to coronavirus relief. How Are Celebrities Donating to Coronavirus Relief?

Celebrities are doing a number of things to help slow down the curve and get people to stay home. John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, for instance, have used their social media reach to offer people entertainments while everyone is at home.

Other celebs are putting on quarantine live chats and released standup specials early to help encourage individuals to maintain good social distancing practices. Check out Leslie Jordan’s Instagram posts telling everyone to stay home below.

But, of course, social influence can only go so far in assisting with coronavirus relief.

Meek Mill and Jay-Z donated more than 130,000 surgical masks to frontline workers, such as nurses and doctors. Megan Thee Stallion, in her true fashion, gave back to her hometown, Houston, by donating to the local healthcare foundation. Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson expressed their thanks to medical workers by purchasing 120 tacos for hospital workers.

The list of celebrities donating to coronavirus relief is a long one. Everyone from Lady Gaga to Stephen Curry to Bill Gates is getting involved in assisting. Here are some of the largest donors you may not be aware of.

Jack Dorsey: $1 Billion

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is donating to coronavirus relief. Although he hasn’t donated anything yet, he has promised he will donate $1 billion to the relief efforts. It isn’t yet clear where he will donate exactly one-third of his wealth, but the payments will come through his Square App.

Oprah Winfrey: $10 Million

Of course, Oprah is amongst the highest donors, as she normally is. The television icon has donated a total of $10 million to coronavirus relief efforts. This includes $1 million to America’s Food Fund. See what she had to say on Instagram about it below.

Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel: $10 Million

Evan Spiegel, founder of Snapchat, and his model wife Miranda Kerr have donated $10 million to coronavirus relief efforts around Los Angeles. They’ve donated to numerous organizations like Allies for Every Child, Homeboy Industries, Koreatown Youth Community Center, Proyecto Pastoral, and the Venice Family Clinic.

Rihanna: $5 Million

Rihanna has her very own foundation called the Clara Lionel Foundation, named for her grandparents. To assist in coronavirus relief efforts, she’s given $5 million through the foundation to organizations such as Direct Relief, Feeding America, and the WHO COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

Kylie Jenner: $1 Million

Kylie Jenner Cosmetics will be donating $1 million in money and resources to Los Angeles area hospitals and clinics. Jenner’s company, along with her mother’s business, will also divert their current production services to producing hand sanitizer for hospitals.
