Kane Lim was born on December 5, 1989, in Singapore. He was born into a very wealthy Singaporean family whose money was made in real estate, oil and shipping. However, he has said in interviews that he was not pampered like the other wealthy kids around him, with his father making him take a public bus to school instead of paying for private chauffeurs. Not much more is known about his family as Lim is always careful to maintain his and his family’s privacy.
Lim began investing in stocks in 2006 when he was 17 using a loan from his father. According to him. He paid the loan back within two months and made his first million before his 20th birthday. He moved to Los Angeles in 2012 to attend school and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising with a B.A. in merchandise and marketing. After graduating, he decided to remain in LA.
In 2021, Lim rose to fame as part of the cast of a new reality series on Netflix called Bling Empire. The reality show focuses on the lives of a wealthy group of Asian and Asian American friends in LA. In the first season’s eight episodes, fans regularly got to see Lim and his friends throwing lavish parties and spending their money on shopping trips. Netflix has kept the reality show going for three seasons now.
Throughout the show, fans got to know a lot about Lim, like the fact that he is a vegetarian and that he turned to Buddhism three years ago. He also showed off his passion for fashion, showing his fabulous wardrobe, his 300-pair trainer collection, and his luxurious watch collection. He is also a model and was recently appointed a Fenty Beauty ambassador, becoming the first Southeast Asian ambassador for the beauty product line. He currently has more that 800k followers on Instagram.
If that wasn’t enough, Kane Lim is also a savvy businessman. He is a real estate agent at The Oppenheim Group and has recently developed and sold three Venice Beach properties. He also reportedly runs an investment fund in LA and is a philanthropist contributing to various charities, including as Miracles For Kids and Uplift Services.

While some of that wealth came from his appearances on Bling Empire, much of the rest came from his long list of investments over the years.
